This unique bolo tie handcrafted by Navajo artist Wilbert Myer was created in the highly detailed and dimensional style of appliqué jewelry making. Blue turquoise and coral pieces are set in detailed sterling silver creating an iconic pairing and bold look of the Southwest. This detailed and sculptural bolo tie is an essential for any Native American jewelry collector.

Appliqué is traditional Native American jewelry style in which a design is cut out of silver and soldered to a base of silver. It was one of the first distinct styles that developed in the decades before World War II, and was a precursor to the overlay style of today. Both the appliqué and overlay techniques create highly dimensional and detailed jewelry that represents the remarkable craftsmanship of Native American silversmiths.

Bolo measures 2-3/8" long and 1-3/8" wide with sterling silver tipped braided leather cord 34" in length. Comes with certificate of authenticity.
