Brandon Peynetsa Onyx Snake Fetish Carving

Shown in a coiled position, this beautiful snake carving was handcrafted by Zuni Pueblo artist Brandon Peynetsa using onyx. In Zuni Pueblo culture the snake symbolizes life, death, and rebirth and through this piece Brandon showcases his ability as a skilled carver allowing the natural shape and hues of the stone to take form.
