Edna Romero Small Black Mica Jar

This lovely small functional, handmade olla jar was created from micaceous clay by Santa Clara potter Edna Romero.

Edna created this traditional bowl using all-natural materials gathered from Taos pueblo where artist resides. The vessel features a distinctive black matte finish, which comes from a reduction process that occurs when a pot is smothered during firing. The dark finish is speckled with natural mica that shines through like stars in the night sky.

Jar Measures 5-1/8" long and wide, stands 3-3/4" tall. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
