Marcella Yepa Swirl Wedding Vase

This lovely wedding vase was handcrafted by Jemez potter Marcella Yepa.
The vase features an elegant polished finish with a lovely green hued carved swirl design running down the left side. Marcella utilizes traditional pottery techniques that have been carried from generations of her family. She continues to showcase the talent and beauty of Jemez pottery.

Wedding vases are a traditional form of Pueblo pottery used in wedding ceremonies, and the handle is said to represent the union of the couple. This traditional vessel was constructed by hand from natural clay and then painted with natural pigments. A wonderful addition to your Pueblo Pottery collection.
