Dominique Toya Micaceous Swirl Melon Jar

A dazzling melon jar was handmade by Dominique Toya of Jemez Pueblo. Dominique was raised and taught her craft in Jemez Pueblo by her mother Maxine Toya. Her distinct style utilizes natural clays and shimmering micaceous slips that come from micaceous clay found in northern New Mexico that has a high mica content.
