Elizabeth Medina Double Rainbow Pot

Elizabeth Medina is widely considered the most skilled potters working in Zia Pueblo today, and this handcrafted bowl is an elegant representation of a centuries-old form. Working in the traditional style for which she is known, Elizabeth slips her natural clay vessels with a buff background then carefully paints polychrome designs in red, brown and black. A highly detailed birds are painted on both sides of the bowl standing under a double rainbow. This expertly crafted bowl is a timeless work of fine art from Zia Pueblo's premier potters.

Originally from Jemez Pueblo, Elizabeth has lived in Zia Pueblo since 1978 and learned the art of traditional pottery-making from her mother-in-law, Sofia Medina. Elizabeth Medina is known for her incredible craftsmanship, elegance of form and exquisitely painted designs.

Bowl measures 8-1/8" long and wide, stands 7-1/2" tall. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
