Native Americans are inspired by their rich cultural history and the traditions of art, dance, community, and cuisine that have been carefully handed down for generations.Mesa Verde National Park protects the rich cultural heritage and history of Pueblo communities and tribes who lived there over 700 years ago. Depicted in this image are stylized elements of pottery found on site at Mesa Verde, in a matted 10" long and 8" wide print.
Dalton James is a self-taught artist from Hopi Pueblo, and is a member of the Tobacco Clan from the village of Hotevilla in northeastern Arizona.
