Judy Tafoya Large Black on Black Polished Olla Jar

This highly polished large jar is the creation of Santa Clara Pueblo artist Judy Tafoya, a sixth-generation potter working since 1983. Descendant of the world renowned potter Margaret Tafoya, Judy has built a reputation for creating with great skill and attention to detail. Made with all-natural materials gathered within Santa Clara Pueblo, Tafoya uses the traditional methods of pottery making to form the vase and the outdoor "total reduction" firing process to achieve the signature black finish Santa Clara is known for.

Jar measures14-1/4" long and wide, stands 19-3/8" tall. Comes with certificate of authenticity.
