Ken and Irene White Pine Pitch Jar

A small colorful jar handcrafted by Navajo husband and wife team, Ken and Irene White. This hand-coiled piece features traditional and nature related designs. Created using both traditional and contemporary techniques. With a glossy pine pitch finish, makes this an easily collectable style. Pine pitch pottery was a traditional technique used to seal pots so that they could hold water and food. A unique piece that honors traditional techniques while showcasing contemporary painting skills. Perfect piece for gifting or collecting.
