Jon Quam Antler Parrot Fetish Carving

Zuni artist Jon Quam hand-carved this unique fetish. Created using deer antler with turquoise inlaid for the eyes. A striking representation of Zuni culture and the legacy of the fetish-carving tradition.

In Pueblo culture, the brightly colored feathers of a parrots and have been highly valued for nearly a thousand years. The bright colors were associated with the south and the sun.

Fetish measures 2-7/8" long and 1-1/2" wide, Stands 6-1/4" tall. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
