Jemez Pueblo potter Clifford K. Fragua handcrafted this figurine in the tradition of Pueblo storytellers, which celebrate how elders share stories orally with children. In Fragua's figurine, each element was created by hand from natural clay using the traditional coil and pinch methods and hand painted with natural pigments, demonstrating the artist’s mastery of traditional pottery making methods.
