As we step into 2026 - the Year of the Fire Horse, beginning on February 17, we enter a rare cycle of bold transformation and unrestrained momentum. The Fire Horse year comes only once every 60 years, carrying an energy that is fierce, visionary, passionate, and sometimes unruly. Fire Horse years often inspire big shifts: personally, creatively, and socially. They are years of decisive action, trailblazing ideas, and courageous movement forward.

According to the zodiac, Horse energy is independent, adventurous, and spirited - but also capable of stubbornness and impulsive leaps. This is a year that demands motion. The Fire element intensifies this drive, making 2026 a time for breaking boundaries, embracing freedom, and stepping confidently into new territory.

Interestingly, this global symbolism finds a powerful resonance here in the Southwest, especially among Pueblo communities, whose cultural history with horses is rich, dynamic, and deeply meaningful.

We invite you to stop by the Indian Pueblo Store and view our mural collection at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, where one of our murals pays homage to the horse, view more at https://indianpueblo.org
