Fannie Loretto Lucero (b. 1951) is an acclaimed potter of Jemez and Isleta Pueblo descent known for making contemporary clay masks, sculptures and polychrome figures. She learned the clay arts from her mother, potter Carrie Loretto, and sculpts her clay figures using natural clay and methods passed down for generations. Loretto has won numerous First Place awards from Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Indian Fair & Market, the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Arts & Crafts Show and the New Mexico State Fair. She recived a triple major in English, Fine Art, and Acting at Fort Lewis College, Colorado. Recently, Fannie played a starring role in the critically acclaimed independant film, "She Sings to the Stars."
