Chris Pruitt

  • Contemporary jewelry designer & silversmith
  • Laguna Pueblo/Chiricahua Apache
  • Known for contemporary styles with a touch of tradition
  • Brazing, texturing, polishing, and inlay

A master silversmith from Laguna Pueblo, New Mexico, Chris Pruitt seamlessly blends heritage and innovation in his striking jewelry. The youngest of four children born to Daniel Pruitt and Geraldine Yahnozha, Chris was raised in and continues to live in his boyhood village of Paguate.

His career as a jeweler began in 2006, transforming his innate "love for rocks and working with metal" into unique and beautiful wearable art. Chris was mentored by his older brother, esteemed jeweler Pat Pruitt, and by family friend, the late Charlie Bird.

Chris's jewelry represents a contemporary style of silversmithing with a traditional touch. His diverse technical repertoire includes fabricating, brazing, texturing, polishing, and the precise cutting and inlay of precious and semi-precious stones and wood.

Beyond the jeweler's bench, Chris holds a second distinguished title: Personal Chef, backed by his training at Le Cordon Bleu.
