This single-strand necklace featuring jet and turquoise beads throughout was handcrafted by Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Kevin Ray Garcia, this classic design and contrasting colors of black and turquoise will add a touch of the Southwest and unique look to any outfit.

In Santo Domingo Pueblo, bead-making has been a central part of life for centuries. These beads are known as “heishi,” which means “shell” in the Santo Domingo language, Keres. Most heishi beads are rolled into smooth flat discs, but heishi can refer to any small beads that have been made by hand.

Necklace measures 18" long and graduated width from 1/8". Includes an extender that adds up to 4", lobster claw closure. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
