Mary Coriz is known for making exquisite handcrafted heishi bead necklaces in traditional style. She often uses shells to create finely cut heishi beads, crafting bold silhouettes that pair an ancient art with modern beauty. In the late 1950's Mary is credited for revived the traditional technique of mosaics inlaid with turquoise, coral, mother-of-pearl and other stones. Mary is known for her mosaic hand designs.
