Acoma Pueblo potter Marilyn Ray handcrafted this unique storyteller featuring a seated women holding a pottery atop her head while a cat and young girl climb atop the pottery in her lap all while a sleepy kitten is resting at her feet. Each element of this storyteller is unique and created by hand from natural clay using the traditional coil and pinch methods, then hand-painted. Marilyn's mastery of traditional pottery-making methods are truly captured within this storyteller as she's captured fine details throughout. 

A unique pottery form, storytellers celebrate the Pueblo tradition of passing down stories orally, and usually depict an elder surrounded by children. A fun and lively piece this storyteller is unique and distinctive, one that will bring a celebrated Pueblo pottery tradition into your home.
