Michelle Tsosie Sisneros is a highly regarded contemporary artist of Santa Clara, Navajo, and Laguna descent. She is primarily a painter, but also creates innovative handcrafted accessories, apparel, and pottery. Her painting style is abstract with some surrealist influences, yet her subjects are drawn from traditional Native American themes and include Pueblo women, yeis, clowns, deer, and landscapes.
This original chiffon scarf features two women dressed in traditional Pueblo attire, joined in an embrace, and facing a stylized sun design. The scarf measures 30-1/2" long and 4-1/8" wide.
