Jemez Pueblo potter Linda Fragua handcrafted this Hopi style woman storyteller figurine featuring a lady holding an open book surrounded by four children.
Linda created each element by hand using natural clay carefully shaped using the traditional coil and pinch methods. She then hand-painted each with natural pigments, demonstrating her mastery of traditional pottery-making methods.
A unique pottery form, storytellers celebrate the Pueblo tradition of passing down stories orally, and usually depict an elder surrounded by children.
Brighten your home with this beautiful piece while paying homage to Pueblo heritage.
