Description

Atop a dark background with geometric shapes and patterns self-taught Hopi artist Duane Koyawena shares a beautiful blue and green Sunface encircled with black and white feather plumes.

This beautiful print showcases Duane's skill as an artist but also the unique way in which he is able to connect his traditional Hopi culture with modern elements. In the Hopi language "Tawa" means sun and is also referred as "iitana" meaning, our father. Father Sun is believed to be a provider of life, warmth and all that is good.

This 11" x 14" print is laminated and mounted on foam core, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
