Handcrafted by Zuni Pueblo artist Clissa Martin this badger carved from marble features turquoise eyes and a delicate lapis and turquoise dragonfly on the badgers shoulder.
Badger represents the southern direction and is a protective and healing fetish. Most often associated with the color red, and is believed to have knowledge of healing roots and herbs. Characteristics associated with badgers include tenaciousness, passion, control, persistence, and earthiness.
