Chief Joseph, an honored leader of the Nez Pierce tribe.  Known for his leadership in the resistance against the US governments force of Nez Perce tribal members into reservations in the late 1800's. The design includes Native American symbols of strength and bravery, attributes of the great leader whose courage and determination won him respect in times of peace and war.
